Thanks, Grandma J. Wanting to be around for a long time is one of the reasons I’m finding ways to work exercise into my 3-kids-and-2-jobs lifestyle. Is cycling more dangerous than driving to the gym? Is it more dangerous than staying home and listening to your arteries clog? I don’t think so. That said, I’ve got the flashy lights, the reflective jacket, the helmet, the studded winter tires and I know of a nice corridor downtown that keeps me away from traffic. When I have to cross an intersection I walk across using the pedestrian lights while making eye-contact with drivers 😉

Oh dear. AND I text Mr. B before I head home so he knows when to expect me AND I have a cell phone and AMA. Did you know that AMA includes roadside assistance for bike commuters? They do!
